This publication is divided into three chapters, with annexes. Chapter One gives an introduction to the issues. Chapter Two looks at consistent and enduring support, with the legal duties of both Government and public bodies and how the needs of the Armed Forces community can be taken into account at the outset of the planning, commissioning and delivery of public services. Chapter Three looks at the route for recourse, where members of the Armed Forces community can challenge the way they have been treated by public bodies, if they do not uphold the principles of no disadvantage and special treatment where appropriate.
