Tort Law and Economic Interests This study explores the extent to which the law of torts provide protection against actual or potential loss of wealth. It is an attempt to examine tort law in terms of protection of interest in the creation and preservation of wealth and focuses on the nature of the plaintiff's interest, the complaint and the action the law is prepared to take.
