It contains definitions and explanations of the most important terms and concepts used in EC and EU law, based on the Treaties, secondary legislation and, above all, on the case-law of the European Court of Justice. The book has been prepared by recognized experts in the field of European law. About the Author: A. G. Toth is Emeritus Professor of European Law at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He previously held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Law at Strathclyde for 12 years, until his retirement in 2001.
