Each theme is tracked through policies set in motion from 1947 to 2009, when the last education policy was offered.About the Author: Shahid Siddiqui obtained his PhD in Language Education from the University of Toronto, Canada, M.Ed. TESOL from the University of Manchester, UK, and MA English from Punjab University. He has been involved in the educational sector of Pakistan as a teacher, teacher educator, researcher, and administrator. His areas of interest include educational leadership and management, socio-cultural aspects of languages, gender, educational change, and critical pedagogy. His work experience includes working at the Aga Khan University (AKU), GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and the Lahore School of Economics (LSE). He is presently serving as acting Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad.
