He trained at Trinity College, Cambridge University, and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London University. He currently holds the positions of 2nd Vice-President of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) (1993 -1997) and member of Executive Committee, is Member of five international Journals editorial boards, and has published over 260 Articles in scientific peer review journals and 18 books.
