This book is designed as a companion to the new OCT of Aristophanes. After a brief introduction giving a sketch of the textual transmission of the plays the editor discusses a large number of passages which present textual or other difficulties. Problems of this kind in many cases require notes that are too long and complex to be incorporated in the relatively limited space allocated to the apparatus criticus in the Oxford series.About the Author: N.
