Feminist Television Criticism: A Reader was first published in 1997 by Oxford University Press and immediately became a defining work in the area of feminist media criticism. This second edition is completely updated with 18 of the 25 extracts being new to the second edition. As with other Readers that we've published there will be an editor's introduction to the main volume as well as an editor's introduction to each section. The introduction to the first edition will be kept but will be accompanied by an entirely new introduction. New subjects discussed include alternative family structures, de-westernizing media studies, industry practices, Sex and the City, Oprah and Buffy.
