About the Author: BRIAN P. GRADY, PHD, is the holder of the Conoco Du Pont Professorship in the School of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, as well as the Director of the Institute for Applied Surfactant Research. Dr. Grady has been extremely active in the Society of Plastics Engineers including serving as chair of the Engineering Properties and Structure Division and later as secretary of the Society, and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Plastics Engineers.
