About the Author: The Honest Politician Biographical notes on the author - G. J. Wallace. I am not a published author because my career as a published writer is beginning right now. Six years ago I began writing the four books of The Honest Politician series, by drawing on my life-long interest in people with their range of curious, and not so curious, behaviors. My background in Psychology gave me a solid basis, but it was my sense of humor and my desire to understand and enjoy people that inspired my writing. Much of my writing is based on acute, and not-so-acute, observation. I have worked as a Psychologist, a Teacher, and a small business operator. I have taught both Psychology and English, and have kept a sharp eye on the politics of life, and been grateful for every lesson I have been taught. In these books I have tried to see contemporary Australians through the eyes of a low-on-the-food-chain politician. The main character struggles with most people as we all do, and most issues as we all do, but especially the concept of honesty. Why is honesty so bloody difficult?
