Esmerelda is the smartest kid in the neighborhood. After she wins first place in the science contest, Mrs. Lovejoy and the other Children's Band kids ask her to give a speech on Sunday morning. However, Esmerelda is shy and afraid to speak in front of a crowd. Her friends give her the support she needs to overcome her nervousness.
