He heads an international purse counterfeiting ring, which ultimately funds terrorist groups. Silvano's goons kidnap the Wards. James started the vacation as a boy, but transitions into a man as he escapes and saves his family. From jail, Silvano sends one assassin team after another across Italy to kill the Wards. The Wards, unable to escape the reach of the Italian Mob, decide to fully join the CIA. CIA officer Frank Brenan is assigned to protect the Wards. He suspects that the counterfeit ring has a rogue CIA officer in its ranks.About the Author: James Rahfaldt was bourn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1966. He attended Marquette University, earning an Electrical Engineering degree, furthering his studies at Keller Graduate School of Management, earning an M.B.A. He worked at a major cellular telecommunications supplier company in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago. In 1994, he cofounded X-TEL Communications, Inc., they made test equipment for the cellular industry. Business travel took him literally around the world. The real sites, sounds, tastes and smells have remained vivid in his memory and are used to add realism to his writing. The company did well for 18+ years, which recently allowed him to pursue his passion for writing. Mr. Rahfaldt traveled with his wife and twins to Italy for a summer vacation in 2010. While dining one night at an outside cafe, a plain clothes Italian police officer, chasing a man carrying 10 purses, came crashing into our table. He lost sight of the purse man and called it in. Mr. Rahfaldt asked the policeman what was going on. He told about how the knockoff purses were really a big crime business and that he was part of a special task force to stop them. This formed the basis for the "Spy Family" book series.
