Life was not easy for women in the 17th century. Those who married rich were expected to serve and support their husbands. Sex was a taboo topic and women were not supposed to enjoy it. They had to satisfy their husbands' sexual needs when the men were not at brothels, or sleeping with other women. Poor women had slightly more sexual freedom. But, as servants, they had little time to enjoy themselves. In the Caribbean Sea, some women escaped the harsh life of servants and became pirates. These women were free to explore their sexual desires. Rumours of female pirates having sex with each other soon spread through the colonies. Sailors also told stories about these women fighting and having sexual contests with each other. Men fantasised about these contests. But this did not only excite men. Rich women, as well as female servants, also wanted to experiment sexually. Some secretly made love to each other. Some took it further and challenged each other to sexfights. This book follows the lives of a few female pirates, a few English ladies and a few worker class women, who all discovered the joys and excitement of female sexfights.
