New Christian author Larry Hostetler shares his lifelong journey with God in Content with a Whisper, his debut memoir about his quest to experience and love God. As reverent as it is relevant, in the book's three parts, "Growing Up with God," "Life Through the Eyes of God," and "Love in the Bible," Hostetler searches for elemental answers as to what it means to love God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. Anecdotal and good-humored, he relates his personal adventure in loving an invisible God. His emphasis is on how man loves God rather than how God loves man. For the thinking Christian, he offers compelling insight on what it means to love a spiritual being as a physical creature. He encourages Christians to broaden their understanding of God and to experience Him in all the subtle wonders of life.About the Author: After studying at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary in Illinois, Larry Hostetler earned his master's of divinity at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and studied sociology at Columbia University. He completed his doctorate at Vanderbilt University. In 1978 he founded Chaparral Christian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona where he continues to serve as the founding minister. He and his wife spend time in Switzerland where he wrote the majority of his first book, Content with a Whisper.
