The Fable of the Hidden Pearl is a fantasy fiction quest tale based on the 2,000 year old Gnostic poem The Hymn of the Pearl. Jane, a trekker lost in a blizzard in the Nepalese mountains finds a rudimentary hut to shelter and await rescue which never comes. At the brink of death, she comes to the notice of a Nameless One, a Himalayan yogi who long ago shed his human form. Mysteriously things begin to materialize in the hut for Jane: fresh food, blankets, dry wood ... and an ornate diary. Unbeknown to Jane and the rest of humanity, the earth, Gaia, is dying from human greed and avarice and it is the task of the Nameless Ones to find a human to return Gaia's lifeforce to her Heart deep within the planet: The Lake of Creation. Only a human can return the pearl to its rightful place as it was human action which was killing the planet's spirit. Only the pearl, hidden since the end of the War of Duality and in the possession of the Dark, can restore Gaia's life and save all who live on her surface and in her skies. Jane becomes the unwitting hero in the unseen struggle between Light and Dark as her training and evolvement takes place to wrest the pearl from the Dark's grasp and deliver it to the Lake of Creation. Her soul's journey begins firstly in the Nameless Ones' Citadel deep in the Western Himalayas and then in the Crystal City of the Light Beings in a far, far away galaxy.About the Author: Born in Melbourne, Australia, C.A.
