A wild stallion grazes happily in a large herd out west in modern times, but when danger comes to his peaceful valley, he is forced to leave all that behind. He is captured and brought into the city by a ruthless criminal who hopes to sell him as a racehorse. In escaping from his captor, the stallion is wounded badly. With a vicious knife lodged deep in his shoulder, he makes his way through the city, trying desperately to find a way out. His only hope, though, seems to be a human, and after all he's been through at the hands of this odd, two-legged race, he doesn't know if he can trust any of them.About the Author: Sophia is a seventeen year-old high school student who has lived all over the world with her family.
