Like many stories of myth and archetype, the Saga of Peter the Woodsman begins in the ordinary world, where brother Wes and Alex are taking the bus home from school in the new country their father's military job has brought them to. In the midst of a sudden storm, strange, hooded, figure gets on the bus and menacingly heads in their direction. They jump off the bus and land in a strange woods. Lost and cold, they head for the only cottage to be seen and are warmly welcomed by a kindly old man, who gives them shelter and tells them an astonishing story that takes them into another world. And so begins The Saga of Peter the Woodsman.About the Author: As a teenager, A Hansley Jr.'s poetry was discovered and encouraged by an old time hustler in Newark N.J. Since that day he has been a writer consumed with his craft. After graduating high school, he was offered a Speech and Theater grant to UMBC but travel called. He went on to appear in the Toronto production of the Broadway musical, 'The Me Nobody Knows, ' the French production of the musical, 'Double V, ' and in multiple productions of the legendary musical, 'HAIR, ' around the world. During this time there was one constant; he never stopped writing, even as he was entreated in London by a noted producer, John Worth, to form the R&B group, The Majestics. The long hours spent traveling only provided more opportunity to write. Three years later, it was time to go home and put the work to use. Notwithstanding the trials and tribulations that are inherent in the business, Aloysius was able to bring one of his works to the stage. His musical, 'The Gramaphone Rag, ' was performed at Laney College in Oakland, later to move to The On Broadway Theater in San Francisco. He now lives in Northern California.
