She has worked in the social services as a counselor and probation officer. For nearly twenty years she was the business manager at Wyckoff Ford in New Jersey. She is an active participant in the bereavement community and a hospice volunteer. Walking Out of Darkness is her first book. Scott O'Reilly is an independent writer. He graduated from Fairfield University where he majored in psychology and philosophy. His articles have appeared in The Humanist, Philosophy Now, The National Catholic Reporter, and many other publications.
