It was no surprise then that going on to De Montfort University she chose to study law but in her words ''my lecturers tried to encourage me to write more like the lawyer I was training to be. My hand often ignored this request and went off in wave of emotive language. In the end we settled for allowing me a little poem at the beginning of my essays. It was the only way I could make a plan for my essays and follow the train of thought. My essays and grades improved by a mile!
