Placing a small box containing a small parchment on the door post of every Jew is a simple obedience to the word of God "Write them on your door steps." But as I entered into the details, it turned out to be a lot more complicated. Going through the process of producing a Kosher Mezuzah was simply mind-boggling. The meticulous details of the choice of the skin, the preparation of the parchment, the choice of scripts, the meticulous details in writing every letter without a single error in dots and lines with suitable crowns for the right letters are all to be understood before we realize how much of effort is put into the making of each mezuzah.
