Do You Believe in Magic? It is 1952 and for the first 12 years of her life, Missy Finn has had to endure having a body that physically, failed to work properly- but things are set to change. On the morning of her 13th birthday, she is handed a shard of shimmering iridescent crystal from her father. The moment her skin makes contact with it, something incredible starts to happen - the crystal throbs, like a beating heart, in her hands and she begins to see all manner of odd images in her mind. The weirdness doesn't stop there though. Later the same day, two elves, brothers, Eldri and Nod appear from out of the airing cupboard. They transport Missy and her parents to Vlissingen, their homeland, to help them to rid Vlissingen of a tyrannical magician named, Gvooorat whose callous enchantments have been what has blighted both, them and Missy alike. Missy and her parents, are soon joined by Zach, a troubled 15-year-old orphan boy from present-day Los Angeles, and then, along with a weird and wonderful assortment of ethereal characters, the ever expanding group set out on a quest to storm the royal palace in Pringholm, capital of Vlissingen, to reinstate the King and Queen back to power and to finally banish the dreaded Gvooorat, from the ethereal world forever.About the Author: I LOVE the freedom of expression that writing gives me. I am writing several books at the moment, some for pre-school children, some for the young adult market and some for adults. Currently I am ploughing away, writing my third YA novel combining witchcraft and Norse mythology and loving every creative minute of it. All of my books tend to have either a paranormal, magical or spiritual thread woven through the richly embroidered text, which, when you get to know me, is not surprising. I am, you see, a member of two psychic circles one of which is a development circle and I strongly suspect that subconsciously, I am channeling spirit when in such a relaxed state, i.e., when I am writing. This, I firmly believe, is why there always tends to be a strong other-worldly theme permeating through most of my work. I enjoy script writing too - in fact, more than anything, I want to see my books turned into television mini-series or movies. All of my stories have an air of positivity about them which is something that I consider our troubled world desperately needs (however cheesy that might sound).I hope that reading this spiritually uplifting story will fully engage my readers and fill their minds with questions, hopefully leading them to want to access their spiritual side to some extent. By nature, I am a deep thinker and a kind hearted person. I do not have a vast array of friends, merely a select few but the ones I have are very dear to me and I am fiercely loyal to them. I live alone but I am seldom lonely. On a final note: I believe that magic is indeed in the air right now and that something positive and wonderful is beginning to happen. I also feel that the joy of wonder holds no barriers so, please, whatever your age, start reading, Do You Believe in Magic?, because I just know you are going to have a magical time on your first visit to Vlissingen!
