Bullying in today's society has taken on a whole new meaning and it is up to us to be able to recognize it at an early stage.About the Author: Biography Born Dolores Steele, in New Orleans, La; the elder of two girls. Educated and graduated from Our Lady of the River School, one of many boarding schools in New Orleans. After graduation, I relocated to Texas in 1970 where I married, started a family and raised my children. I too was a victim of bullying, but it came from the adults in my life that claimed they loved me. Mine was mental not physical. If I did something wrong they would tell me that I would never amount to anything. Do you realize the damage those words can do to your self-esteem? During this time I discovered that I had a gift to write, but I did it just to have something to retreat to when I was hurting. Once I discovered computers it was on, everything was much easier and less time consuming, with an accumulation of stories and poems I decided it's my time. I decided to publish my work and I hoe people will enjoy them as much as I do.
