During the early 1940's Blackhawk was the second best-selling comics, coming up just behind a certain man of steel, and was one of only four comics that were published continuously during the 40's, 50's and 60's. The Blackhawk Squadron during World War Two battled for the Allies, as well as taking on all manner of mad scientist, evil women super-criminals, and other criminal masterminds.
