I was sitting in church, listening to the pastor speak on the subject "Christ Is the Beginning and the End." As I sat there, my mind began to wonder, not wander. The first passage he read was Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." This is not the beginning of eternity but the creation of the world, as it is described in this chapter. Not eternity? What was there before? Why did God create the world? I am not a professor or a minister of the Gospel. I do love to study the Bible. These questions are way beyond me. But I have learned that God is all-knowing and has a purpose for everything and everyone. So I am going to try to give you something to ponder, strictly from my personal perspective.
