C.C. Bush believed her husband was of sound mind when she married him, and she kept her commitment, living with a depressed husband for thirty-two years. This book shares her experience in order for you not to feel alone when enabling or dealing with the mental disease of a loved one. After reading this book, she hopes you won't feel stranded on an island where no one speaks your language. If you know someone struggling with the challenge of depression and psychosis, reach out. These are world health problems that our society shoves under the rug.About the Author: In 8th grade, C.C. Bush decided she must choose a career before entering high school. She considered becoming a beautician or a teacher. Beautician seemed likely, since she'd bleached her hair in 2nd grade using Dutch Cleanser, given herself a perm with her mother's leftover Toni Permanent paper wraps, cut one of her younger sister's bangs, and in high school gave herself a Vidal Sassoon haircut. But becoming a teacher tugged at her heartstrings because, being seven years older than her two sisters, it was a joyous adventure teaching and guiding them into the 1950's. Her decision came when she realized teaching would afford her time to be at home during the summer with her "future" children. Many times, she wished she could have bottled that drive to make a career choice at such a young age to help future generations. She taught for twenty-five years and was awarded the National Parent Teacher Award.
