Behavior Change for Autism was created to fill a need for parents who feel helpless generating and maintaining behavior change in their children, specifically diagnosed with Autism. This short read introduces the reasons problem behaviors occur, how to intervene, and how to apply the same perspective across all maladaptive or problem behavior in the future. Techniques and interventions found within this manual are evidence-based and grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Change for Autism will also introduce parents to simple ways they can use one of the most powerful tools in ABA: Reinforcement. There are a few exercises and opportunities for self-reflection to help parents identify next steps specific to their child, lifestyle, and circumstances.
