As the author of many works of physics, it was as a scientist that his interest in Russia first arose. A regular visitor to Moscow, he has lived for periods in Canada, France, and the Netherlands, but now lives with his Russian wife, Maria Sergeyevna Morozova, in Bristol, UK, where they attempt to keep track of their children and grandchildren in the UK and Russia.
