Neifert's Magnum Opus is Hail Britannica. A story cataloging epic battles across England's countryside---in a fantasy landscape of Magical Realism---all of the greatest heroes of Great Britain make an appearance, from Robin Hood to Lancelot and King Arthur. The story is a Yank's love letter to the British people, bringing their Geography, Legends, History and Culture to culminate into a work inspired by the diction of Seamus Heaney's "Beowulf." Allusions to both history and pop culture make this a masterwork of Neifert's, and he only hopes the British people adopt him as one of their own, so this work can be beloved by them. His love for British Culture was magnified by the intense research that went into this Epic Poem, and he hopes the British understand that this is an outside perspective on their people and their heritage, so that none of the stuffy jingoism muddies what is a pure reflection of the British heritage, culturally, historically and mythologically. It begins with Beowulf's Grandson getting ready to fight his way through Armageddon, and travels back in time to the days when Danes ruled the countryside, where King Lear was in opposition to Arthur, and his three witch daughters vie with the French for the British isles.Special attention was drawn to make the land of Great Britain where these magical battles take place; where Merlin controls the weather to fight off Tolkien's Orcs, and the greedy Wyrm---the Old English word for the Dragon in the original Beowulf Epic---flies through the fortresses of Pevensey to burn down the land's mightiest bulwarks.Neifert only hopes to make a living off of his work because a lot of effort and time was placed into them, and he hopes the British can lend their appreciation for what might be Neifert's favorite poem he's ever written.
