African Americans are like an amusement park attraction that consists of a railroad track with many tight turns and steep slopes, on which people ride in small fast open cars. The highs are when black people in America rise above race and politics. The lows occur through dramatic unpredictable changes faster than what it takes for them to accomplish their success. The screams are our voices chanting while marching to Washington with MLK singing songs of freedom and equality.
