His films are shown all over the world in 35 countries including the United States. He was born in Long Beach California in 1955 and studied filmmaking and Photography as a teen at Lakewood High School located in Lakewood California. In 1974 he then went into the U.S. Army as a Motion Picture Cameraman and Phone specialist during the Vietnam war. In civilian life he went into college under the G.I bill and started working at various companies as a Cameraman on commercials, Independent features, and film distribution outlets. While working at these companies, he learned the structure of film distribution and filmmaking in the Hollywood system. About this time he married his wife Wendy, and they decided to have a family of their own. After raising their three kids, Harry decided to make his films under his wife's company Harwen Entertainment. Doing so would allow him to put everything he had learned from his years of experience to work. This included talking at various colleges and trade schools on filmmaking. While doing just that, he found that there was a tremendous need by students to understand the process of film distribution in today's digital world. Now he spends a lot of his time helping others get their films distributed and out into the public while making his own. Harry is best known for his horror and science fiction films "Spaceship Terror" and "Blood Demon Rising," both shot under the Independent banner for various film Distribution and international film Companies.
