Drawn from two international meetings held in Crete, the Fourteenth International Conference on Structures Under Shock and Impact 2016 and the Tenth International Conference on Risk Analysis 2016, organized by the Wessex Institute and the U. of Liverpool, UK, the 14 papers in this volume address infrastructure risk assessment and management. The research relates to impact and blast loading, the response of buildings and other structures to blast, and their dynamic behavior, aiming to find ways to deal with the increased demands for more effective control of impact and blast effects, in addition to risk management and control.
