Cockles and Muscles

The story is set in a rural welsh village Brynteilo, near the Towy estuary in the late 1950's. Its central character, John Prosser, is a gifted, well-meaning, young man, whose indolence and lack of self-confidence hamper his progress. He constantly requires a "kick up the backside" to get him to achieve some of his potential.
