Inspired by the birth of the first of her four grandchildren twenty years ago, Jean attended a writing course and began writing short stories, articles and poetry for children and teenagers. Operation Pied Piper, her first book, was published in 2013 and Operation Dynamo, featuring the same children, is the sequel.
