About the Author: Shlomo Shoham is the Winner of the Israel Prize in Criminology Research for 2003 and Criminological Advisor for the Ministries of Justice and Internal Security in Israel. He has published extensively, and is on the Board of Directors of several international societies including the International Society of Criminology. He is the Editor of Israeli Studies in Criminology.
