She has the passion to serve underserved, high-risk youth ages 10-18 in a safe capacity that will prevent them from becoming another statistic of violence or a victim of the criminal justice system. Having raised 3 adult sons of her own who have all made some very consequential choices in life, Tonita has vowed to help positively impact youth in having better outcomes through engaging curriculum, aimed at equipping them with positive life skills that will lead to sound decisions. Tonita's goal is to partner with other community organizations and local schools to create an after-school program offering a safe environment for children to learn and grow.
