In Minnesota home was (and is) a little town called Wirt, formally known as "Rattlesnake" because it was so wild. His grandfather was Constable during some of those wild years. Andy has been a Logger, Iron Mine Worker, Insurance Investigator, Minuteman Missile Weapons System Mechanic, Correctional Officer and Pastor. Andy joined the U.S. Army in the Viet Nam era, was a Military Policeman/K9 handler in Korea, and achieved the rank of Sargent. Andy spent time as a youth in the ghost towns of Montana and later spent 13 years living in Nevada where he was able to visit many of the old ghost towns there. Later, when Andy moved to California he was also able to investigate some of the ghost town there.
