For the past 30 years they have been involved with youth organizations both in church and in the community. Ed is a veteran of the United States Air Force and was involved with sports for most of his life and is a Black Belt in Isshin Ryu karate. He works as a Manufacturing Engineer. Eunice worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and as an Associate Teacher for Head Start. The Best Friends series and the 2nd Earth series were written primarily to show their grandchildren what they believe in, their ideals, and what they feel is important in life.
