Fourteen year old Amber flees her homeland for far off Insula. She has no friends there, only a distant uncle. Using her intelligence Amber navigates the troubled waters to help keep safe the people she cares for.About the Author: Paul Telegdi was born in Hungary during the last year of WWII and was much affected by the shadow of the war that was still fresh in peoples' memories. After the 1956 uprising against the communist regime the whole family fled to Austria where they spent several months in refugee camps. They were accepted by Canada and first ended up in Vancouver, then five years later moved to Toronto. Paul attended University of Waterloo where he met his future wife Melanie. They married in 1968, and after a few years in the Waterloo region they moved to West Germany where Melanie studied music at a renowned music academy. Two sons were born there and after eight years the family returned to Canada and settled in Bradford, Ontario. Melanie opened an office of psychology in town and both were busy at it. Third son was born. Around this time Paul started writing, eventually producing a prehistoric series of five books. After that he added a book a year and now has 24 self-published ebooks with a few also available in print. Paul writes mainly historical adventures and loves to linger in the Middle Ages. All books are character driven action books with a healthy dose of romance threaded through the plot. All books are designed to draw the reader into the story and to be fellow travelers with the main characters. In all books the main theme is to confront evil and wrongdoing and culminating in a redemptive ending.
