In addition to having written academic book reviews and online content in the past, he has also been published in numerous magazines and newspapers. Everett holds degrees from Oklahoma State University and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He has been interested in World War I since he took a summer course as an undergraduate called "World War I Euro-Culture." His favorite museum is the National World War I Memorial and Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. He lives in Oklahoma with his wife, kids, two dogs, and a cat.
