This book examines the impact of inflammatory bowel disease on the functioning of students in school. A resource guide was also developed to increase the level of awareness and knowledge of students, parents, and school personnel. In order to gather information, students were interviewed to obtain personal accounts of their experiences with IBD during school. Results from the study provided useful information that can be utilized to facilitate the educational growth and learning potential of students dealing with this chronic illness.
