Addison, a widower, lost his wife two years ago. Standing along a bend in the windy road where his wife's body was found he sees a bicyclist making their way up the hill. A car strikes the bike and rider falls. He finds that the rider is a young woman in need of help. Celia is a young woman running from her step-father, a dirty sheriff tied up in the drug trade who is out to find her. As she hides away with Addison the two fall in love.
