This children's tale is inspired by probably the most famous of all the myths and legends of Irish folklore. In this tale, on the 17th of March (St. Patricks' Day), a young leprechaun named Odhrán will come of age. To prepare him to receive his powers of enchantment from the top of the mound in Moat Park; in the village of Dundonald, he must first undergo some training and instruction from other senior leprechauns. These seniors have been appointed by the fairy Erin to prepare Odhrán for the coming Ritual of Endowment of Powers. In this tale we meet his friends as we follow Odhrán's journey along the way to his becoming of age.
