Plagued by insecurities and uncertainty, A Cappella is, in essence, a tale of one girl's quest to forge an identity and find the path in life that she feels destined to follow. However, her fascination with a musician called Mark Crowley, leads her down a dark path and it's not long before he reveals his true colours.Ultimately, Karen discovers she's pregnant after a drunken assault which forces her to part ways with the infamous Mark. Fearful that another man will end up raising his child, Mark makes a hasty, ill-considered attempt at abducting Karen. When that fails, he resorts to a heinous attempt on her life, instead. His actions have devastating consequences.
